House Testimony Against Redistricting

On May 13, 2026, Julie Zimmerman testified against the rushed redistricting proposal at the State House. South Carolinians deserve fair representation - not politicians redrawing political maps designed to protect power and rig the system. Irmo Neighbors Helping Neighbors Food Drive

Julie led the third Neighbors helping Neighbors Food and Supply Drive on April 19, 2026. As the war with Iran drives prices up on food, gas, and other household essentials, Julie saw the need once more in the community. Thank you to all the volunteers and donors who helped make it success!

Testimony Against S.1095

On April 14, 2026, Julie testified against a draconian abortion ban that provides no exception for the health of the mother, incest, or rape. South Carolina's communities already have a need for more OB-GYNs and this bill would only drive more qualified health care professionals from our state.

Testimony Against H.4764

On February 17, 2026, Julie testified against H.4764. This bill would compel local law enforcement to enter into agreements with ICE which would erode trust between communities and law enforcement and make our communities less safe.

Inaugural Irmo Neighbors Helping Neighbors Food Drive

When Congressional gridlock shut down the government, it prevented families in need from accessing their SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits. Julie saw the need in her community. She launched Irmo Neighbors Helping Neighbors and held their first food drive on November 2, 2025. The community came out to support! Thank you to everyone who donated and volunteered.
